Bad Brick
Bad Brick: A Re-Publication of Little Blue Book no. 1232 shares a pocket-sized booklet on wall building with the world once again, 99 years after its original publication. Interrupting this almost-bootleg book are clay things made in response to its instructions—from sculptures, to bumper stickers, to poems—by Rosa Glaessner Novak, Reed Miller, Rose Schreiber, Nicole Seisler, Kaeli Macdonald, Erica Levin, Penelope Anstruther, Jules Pierce, and EC Comstock.
The new publication was born in an A-B Projects studio session on the work of walls in March 2025. The book aims to sustain and to grow the collective space and conversation we carved during this session, surrounding walls and their materials, clay labor, organizing, and the dialectics of the brick.
